Who I am

Hi there! Thanks for visiting my website.

My name - my pseudonim indeed - is Soyelmar and I’m a visual artist from Italy.

I define myself illustrator, hacker and utopian, because of my main interests in drawings, informatics and philosophy.

My vision

My profound persuasion is that art should be easily available to anyone in order to enrich the spirits and fulfill that great ideal expressed by Fëdor Dostoevskij: «Beauty will save the world».

With beauty, in my interpretation, to be meant not just as an aesthetic characteristic, but as the result of the pursue of harmony and, in the end, as an act of perfection of human behaviors and technique. I’m aware I’m not a Michelangelo, neither a Warhol or your favorite local artist, but if one of these works I produce can be nutrition to a soul, then the goal set by that quote and by my own commitment will be reached.
